Your FL vacation home is conveniently located near Downtown Cape Coral, offering easy access to a variety of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Additionally, it's just a short drive to the bridge leading to Ft. Myers and all its attractions.
In Cape Coral, some of our favorite spots include Fins Tiki Bar on Del Prado, Monkey Bar, and Dolphin Tiki, as well as Casa Azul Mexican—some of which offer live music on different nights. Ford’s Garage, just this side of the bridge, serves delicious American food and BBQ. For waterfront dining, head south to Nauti Mermaid or Rumrunners. Up north, Miceli’s and the Yucatan Tiki offer fantastic seafood with both indoor and outdoor seating on a canal near Matlacha. Another local gem for seafood lovers is Lobster Lady, located off the Cape Coral Expressway.
For great dining experiences in Ft. Myers, try Deep Lagoon Seafood, just over the bridge, or my personal favorite spot for shrimp, Salty Papas, located off McPherson in Ft. Myers. For breakfast and lunch, we recommend Barunch, Metro Diner, Waffle House, South Cape Diner, and The Omelet Shop—each offering excellent options for a casual meal.
If you’re looking to visit nearby beaches, we love Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel/Captiva. Both areas have seen significant new development, with businesses reopening regularly. For convenient parking, you can park at the Lani Kai hotel for $25 cash, right on Fort Myers Beach. They also have a beachfront bar and public restrooms. Further down the beach, you'll find the Beach Bar, food trucks, and umbrella and chair rentals. We suggest arriving early to avoid parking and traffic issues on busy weekends. Fort Myers Beach also has excellent dining options, such as Doc Ford’s and Dixie Fish Co., both with water views. Other favorites include Snug Harbor, Wahoo Willies, and Nervous Nellie’s, all located under the bridge on the beach side. Margaritaville has recently opened with a variety of restaurants and bars to explore. For a unique experience, visit Sanibel Island Bowmans Beach for seashells or spend a day at Lighthouse Beach on Sanibel. For a great cruise, visit Salty Sams off Ft. Myers Beach: https://www.sightseaflorida.com/ or Captiva Island for dolphin and evening cruise options at https://captivacruises.com/.
On the Ft. Myers side, we recommend Tiger Woods’ PopStroke mini-golf for family fun or golf enthusiasts. For rainy days, you'll find plenty of indoor activities like IMAX theaters, Bass Pro Shops, and TopGolf—all in the same area. Dave & Buster’s, located inside the Clock Tower Mall, offers more entertainment, plus shopping and dining options.
For all you fishermen, please text Capt Scott at 239-205-0898 or Capt Jesse at 239-224-9492 for a half or full day of fishing.
